The ilpf is a private consulting firm based in Langen, Germany. We provide and implement strategies in the field of decentralisation and local public finance for private and public sector organisations around the world.

Decentralisation and local public finance have become significant areas of support, since academic writers, politicians, governments, aid donors and other international agencies are firmly convinced that decentralisation and a sound local governance are crucial for good governance and the reduction of poverty.

The ilpf combines practical experience of local public finance with substantial macro economic expertise. Moreover, we are specialised in intergovernmental fiscal relations (fiscal decentralisation), tax administration, public sector budget management, corruption combat and economic policy analysis. Our clients include private finance institutions as well as subnational and national governments in industrial and developing countries.
